This week I will be handing over to Saber, who will teach you all about rendering this project, using mantra and/or redshift. This is the final week of our VEX project, where we will put the finishing touches on the system we have designed so far. This week, we start work on our final project for the workshop, applying everything we have learned so far to create an effect that would otherwise be impossible to achieve through normal SOP setups. This week, we are wrapping up our fundamental knowledge of VEX by combining everything we have learned into a wide range of practical examples, for practice and improved performance. This week, we take a look at some important VEX functions covering topics such as strings, noise functions and how to work with VEX within DOPs. This week, we are tackling some more advanced concepts within VEX. This week, we begin working with VEX and learning how to write correct VEX code snippets. In this first week, we will be starting our Houdini scripting journey with HScript and HExpressions as a way to ease into some of the thinking and techniques we will use throughout this course. VEX is an essential skill for creating realistic and compelling FX work in Houdini Along the way we’ll demonstrate how VEX is practically used in real-world projects, leading you to learn how to craft various complex FX using VEX.
